Columbia — In a cost-cutting measure, some of South Carolina’s most influential lobbyists have combined forces to try to pass legislation that would create the world’s largest facility that would serve as a mall, a landfill, a private school funded by vouchers, and a check-cashing/payday lending service.
Charleston – On Monday, the Charleston County Republican Party censured Sen. Lindsey Graham for “many of the positions he has taken that do not represent the wishes of the people of Charleston County SC, such as: passing a “Cap & Trade” energy bill, bailing out banks, and granting amnesty for illegal aliens.”

Oconee – The wildly successful cash for clunkers program is being opposed by the state’s legislative leaders. The program, paying up to $4500 for qualifying cars to reduce the price on new automobiles ran out of funding last week.
